Direct selling of Tesla is banned in New Jersey

Recently the fight between Tesla and independent auto dealers is becoming a hot topic. Independent auto dealers have successfully lobbied for laws in most states to ban direct sell from manufacturers to consumers, which aims to preserve dealer’s competitiveness and privilege.

Legislatures of different states are trying to do something to protect the right of dealer. New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission voted to ban direct sales of automobiles in New Jersey. Tesla’s market share in United States is pretty small with a comparison between 20 000 and 15.6 million.
