First aluminum-bodied F-150

75 percent of pickups in America will have aluminum body by 2025 according to a recent study launched by the Aluminum Association. General Motors Co., Ford Motor Co. and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will be the first to do this change. For Ford, its first aluminum-bodied car model isF-150. “Our assumption is that the Ford F-150 will be successful, there is no way Ford won’t let it not be successful,” Schultz, managing director of Ducker Worldwide said. “And there is no way GM and Chrysler would not follow Ford.”

In terms of fuel economy and cost efficiency, the F-150 will be powered by a base V-6 engine which is expected to have 26 mpg on the highway and an EcoBoost V-6 engine which is expected to develop 28 mpg on the highway.Hennessey-SUV-F-150-Raptor
